Life Planning for Adolescents and Youths (LPAY)

LIFE PLANNING FOR ADOLESCENTS AND YOUTHS

LPAY Service Delivery

NURHI 2 worked with high volume sites to ensure that adolescents and youth received competent, evidence-based, high-quality and non-judgemental services that meet their needs. NURHI 2 trained providers in counselling and contraceptive provision for adolescents and young people and developed tools to enhance youth-friendly service delivery.

The national adolescent and youth-friendly job aids for service providers in primary health care facilities in Nigeria are resource materials for the provision of adolescent- and youth-friendly service integration at the primary care level. These aids enabled providers to respond to adolescents and youth more effectively and with greater sensitivity. They also ensured that this population received counselling and treatment in an atmosphere of friendship, trust, confidentiality and maximum privacy.
